!Will of Nathaniel Chew; Gloucester Co., New Jersey

In the name of God Amen. I, Nathaniel Chew, of the County of Gloucester and State of New Jersey, being of sound mind and memory, for which I thank my God, do make this my last Will and testament hereby revoking all others heretofore made.

First, My Will is and I do order that all my just debts and funeral expenses be paid out of my personal estate by my executors as soon as conveniently after my decease.

I give and bequeath to my son Jesse C. Chew twenty eight hundred dollars a debt which to me he oweth, on a bond for the Mill tract and fifteen hundred dollars which I paid for him as surety, if he brings no account against my estate, which he cannot in justice do, if he makes any demad against my estate, then my Will is and do order that my whole estate be appraised by appraisers chosen by my executors, and the what the money amounts to more than an equal share with my other children living and deceased shall be collected by my executors and divide the same among my other children, leaving one share in his hands for him.

I give and bequeath to wife Sarah Chew one third of all my estate real and personal during her natural life, and after he decease to my five sons Andrew, Nathaniel, Elijah, Elisha and Nathan and my two deceased sons children, Wesley, Sylvester, the children to have the share of their father divided among them, share and share alike.

My Will is and I do order that the remainder of my estate both real and personal be equally divided between my five children Andrew, Nathaniel, Elijah, Elisha, Nathan and the children of Wesley and Sylvester deceased, so that the children of my deceased sons have the share of there (sic) father, share and share alike, my son Nathaniel to have six hundred dollars taken out of his share, the price of half a vessel, Sylvester share three hundred dolllars to be taken out of his share, Elijah to have a parte of his share the land I purchased of Abraham Park, unless he execute a quit claim made to James Matlack, then in that case to have among the rest if any my sons bring any account to ofset except Nathan for rent or to recover, then in that case they shall have no share in my estate.

Signed sealed pronounced and declaredto be his last Will and testament, I appoint my five sons Andrew, Nathaniel, Elijah, Elisha and Nathan sole executors of this my last Will and testament to Serve without fee or reward, in the presents of us.
