!Deed Book 25, p. 172-176; 17th Sep 1813:
Indenture between William Parrott and Susannah his wife of Berkeley Co., Virginia of the one part and James S. Lane of the County of Jefferson, VA of the other part. For $6,400.00 a tract of land situated in Berkeley County containing as per late Survey 160 acres, "being the same tract or parcel of land which was devised by Thomas Turner, Dec'd, by his last Will and Testament bearing date 29th August 1804 and of record in Jefferson County Court, to his daughter the said Susannah Parrott during her life and after her death to her son Thomas T. Parrott an infant who having died the said land has fallen to his father the said William Parrott which said tract of land is to be laid off to contain" one hundred and sixty acres, adjoining West heirs, William Rush and a tract of land purchased by said Lane from Jacob Israel.

!Ohio County records show that licenses were taken out by William Parrott in 1823 (House of private entertainment) and 1824 (House of entertainment). Susan Parrott in 1825 (Entertainment and ordinary), 1826 (Entertainment), 1827 (Entertainment), 1832 (Entertainment), 1833 (Entertainment), and 1834 (Ordinary) {An ordinary establishment sold food, alcoholic beverages, and provided sleeping accomodations}.
