In 1891 he went to seek his fortune in the West. Locating in Montana where he
became interested in mining and purchased an interest in some gold mines; later
disposing of them and going to Nevada near Tonopah, where he has since resided
and where he owns interest in two gold mines near Atwood, Nevada. He is
unmarried.
