Completed his education at Camden Point Military Institute. He became assistant
treasurer of Platte Co., Missouri. He went to Clayton, New Mexico in 1907. He
became President of the State Bank of Commerce, Clayton, New Mexico (his
brother Harry is Vice President). Has been: Mayor of Clayton, New Mexico one
term; President of the Chamber of Commerce two terms; President of the Rotary
Club one term; and two terms on the Council of the US Chamber of Commerce. He
also owns and operates a large ranch of 3,600 acres in Union Co., New
Mexico.
