In the name of God. Amen. I, Thomas Wynne of Philadelphia in Province of Pennsylvania, practitioner in Physick being sick and weake in body, but of sound and perfect mind and memory and considering the frailty of man and certainty of death and the uncertainty of the time. When, doe make and ordain this my last will and testament In manner of form , following As to what estate God hath ______ me with my just debt being first purs_______ and satisfied, I hereby give and devise to my dear and well beloved wife, Elizabeth Wynne, all that my usage of plantation with the Apput______ Whereon my family now dwell of tes____ lying and being near the towne of Lewis in the county of Sussex, ___________, the time. of her natural life and after her decease to my son, Jonathan Wynn, his heirs of assigned forever.
Item: I give and bequeath unto my children now in donerical (8ch.) Jonathan, Mary, Rebecca, Sidney, Hanah, one moiety or half part of my personal Estate. ( My Negro being by me intended and included as such) to be divided amongst them within two years after my decease according to the desertion of my overtures herein after mentions.
Butt in regard that some of my children are already better provided for and in hope further way of living that others and I do therefore in a more particular manner recommend my son Jonathan and my daughters, Mary, Rebecca, and Hannah to the care and disposal of my said overseeres. And for my daughter Tabisha now in Europe, she hath already sufficiently partaken of my fatherly care and ______ of her and as the last mark of my love I do hereby give and bequeath unto her the sum of 50 shilling.
Lastly Elizaeth the other Moiety of my persona estate of _____ nature or kinde soever I do constitute and appoint her executor of this my last will and testament and whereas there has been a certain Bond entered into me to Samuel Buttall, my Brother-in-law for payment of 50 shillings and there now remains upp there of the sum of 25 pounds principal money. Now my well meaning is that my message and Plantation near Lewis Towne shall be chargeable withe the payment there of in case the __ bond be issued. I do request and desire my dear friends, Thomas Lloyd, Dep Good, of this Province and Griffith Owen to be overseeres of this my last will and testament.
My hand this 15th day of first month 1691.
