Was a Judge too. He descended from Edward Dorsey, boatwright, who came to America in 1650 and settled in Anne Arundel Co., where he obtained several land grants through his sons Col. Edward of "Major's Choice", Joshua of "Taunton", and John Dorsey of "Hockley".(This note was for Lloyd Dorsey.)
He was married to Sarah Griffith on 1 Jan 1732.
