!Charles Brashear: *Bazil Brashear, (Back #31) b. 18 Mar 1714; m. Ann Belt, d/o
Benjamin Belt and Elizabeth Middleton. Was in North Carolina, but many
confusions linger. See below and Robert C. Brashear & The North Carolina
Interlude, and Basil Brashears and his Brashears, Breshears, Boshears, and
Beshears Descendants.
He most definitely DID NOT marry Sarah Wallingsford, who m. Basil double
cousin, William Brashear "Senior", s/o Benjamin Brashear Sr and Mary Jones.
The Maryland Calender of Wills simply misinterpreted both Benjamin
Wallingsford's will and Sarah Wallingsford's will. Basil, indeed, was a
debtor to the estate, but the estate papers are quite explicit: to William
Brashear, in right of his wife, Sarah, formerly Wallingsford.
