Notes for William (Junior) Brashears

Benjamin Brashear moved with his children to Bullitt County, KY, about 1778. [NOTE: There was no Bullitt County in c1778 as the entire state of Kentucky was simply Kentucky County, Virginia] This is the area where William had Brashear's Station, an area settled by George Rogers Clark and other pioneers, near Louisville and "The Falls of the Ohio," site of one of Clark's forts. That's where Marsham married and remained. We know from other records that Ann Brocus and her family were living there; in fact, William Brocus is also listed in the Rogers Papers several times.
