Notes for Lorraine Angeles Smith
Lorraine was born in Los Angeles. She married Ray Hundermark in the 1950s. She had one son, James Craig Hundermark. She was an athlete and often took her nephew, Ron Ulrich, to UCLA sporting events. Basketball games in the Westwood Gymnasium, Football games at the LA Coliseum, Baseball games at LA Wrigley
Field and other sporting activities. She also took him to the movies in Downtown Los Angeles, rides on Angeles Flight, to the Alligator Farm, to Knotts Berry Farm, boat ride in MacArthur Park, Cliftons Cafeteria in Los Angeles, and to numerous other places. She was a motorman for the StreetCar Lines. And retired from the Juvenille Detention Office for Los Angeles County in March, 1990. She has taken many trips to England and other European destinations. She is planning a trip to Turkey. She has gone from a slim person to a very heavy person. She has been heavy for about 15 years.
Went out to dinner with her friend Betty Hunter at Hennessey's Grill in Seal Beach, California and passed away after dinner. Went to Los Alamitos Hospital but was dead at the restaurant. Will be buried at Fairhaven Cemetery in Tustin, Orange Co., California on Thursday, 10 May 2001. Probable cause of death was "congestive" heart failure. She had been hospitalized for gangreen of her feet and she also had a problem with her heart (needed a valve repaired).
!Orange County Register Obituary, 10 May 2001: "Lorraine A. Hundermark, 76, of Norwalk, formerly of Anaheim, a probation officer for Los Angeles Co., died May 5, 2001, of a heart attack. Services: 11 a.m. today, Waverley Church, Santa Ana. Arrangements by New Options Funeral Service, Placentia. Son, Jim; one grandchild."
