Ray met Lorrain Smith in the early 1950s. They both worked for the LA Transit Authority. They had one child. Ray worked for Carl F. Ulrich as a Carpenter in the 1950s and as a truck driver for various firms. He ran out on his family in the 1960s. He later remarried. He died from a total system failure at the age of 63. Ray had a brother...William who died at the age of 38 years and a sister Gertrude Doran who died at the age of 59.
