James was born August 21 1868 at Newton, Massachusetts. he died September 28, 1929 at Framingham, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts. He was chief surgeon at the Children's Hospital, Boston. In the World War, he
served as surgeon at the base hospital, Camp Jackson. He was President of the Massachusetts Medical Society 1925-27. They resided at Framingham, Norfolk Co., Massachusetts.
