Children listed (born in OH) are: Loenna (dau b. 1873 - 7); Loella (dau b. 1874 - 6); Mary (dau b. 1876 - 4); Xenia (dau b. 1878 - 2); Etheline (dau b. June 1879 - 11/12); and Edith (dau b. June 1879 - 11/12)
!US Census 1900 (6 June) Ohio, Richland Co., Roll 1316 Book 2, Page 2, lines 27-31: Henry Tongue (b. June 1848 - 51 - in OH - WIDOW - Occ: Farmer - Fa: England and Mo: PA). Children listed (born in OH; parents too) are: Edith (b. June 1879 - 20); Henry F. (b. July 1881 - 18); Cora (b. Sept 1883 - 16); and Myrtle (b. Nov 1886 - 14).
Said to have worked his daughters like farmhands. Several of the family died of TB. He lived with Glenn and Minnie Lybarger his last years. He was quite wealthy. When he died, Glenn and Minnie put in a bill for his care into the estate. The money they received was used to buy a grocery store at the corner of Broadway and Smiley in Shelby, Ohio. When he married Margaretta, she had $2000 in real estate, he had $600. He farmed the area at the corner of Kastor and Ranson Roads in Blooming Grove Twp, Richland Co., Ohio.
