!Bullitt Co, KY Will Book A, p.53: a copy of this will is also found in the Smith Coffee Daniels papers in Mississippi; The Will of Marsham Brashear - In the name of God, Amen--I, M. Brashear, being of a right mind and perfect understanding, do make this my Last Will and Testament: after my just debts is paid, I give all my estate, real & personal, to my beloved wife, Lucy, during her widowhood. After that I give one cow to my daughter, Cordelia, the balance of my estate to be equally divided between my five children, Richard, Eden,
Cynthia, Sally, and Patty. My land plantation I give to my two sons, Richard and Eden, to be equally divided.

!At the December Bullitt County Court, 1807,: "Ordered that Ben Brashear, ?Bibs Pleimans, Jacob Peacock, Henry Stallings, & Saml Ridgway, who or any three of them being sworn before a Justice of the Peace do appraise in current money the slaves if any and personal estate of Marsham Brashear, decd." (re: Bullitt Co, Will Book A, pp. 72-73) On 28 Dec 1807, at the December session of the court, Jacob Peacock, Henry Stallings, and Samuel Ridgway submitted an inventory. His estate included 6 horses worth 92/12, eleven cattle worth 20, sheep, pigs, sundry farm implements. He had a silver watch worth 2/2, looms, flax wisal and cotton wheel, various pots, pans, hooks, etc.; one negro man worth 50, and various tables, chairs, beds, a desk and a looking glass.
