full-blood Choctaw.

Choctaw country, this 17th day of October, in the year of our Lord, one
thousand eight hundred and two, and of the independence of 7RA-116, roll 1:

Turner Brashears applied for a land allotment under Article 19 of the Treaty
of Dancing Rabbit Creek, 1830, and was certified as being entitled to 1 1/2
sections.
On 11 Nov 1833, he [i.e. his estate] entered 1035.16 acres, being the whole of
Sec 13, T16, R1E, and the north half of Sec 24, T16, R1E, Northeastern land
district, LeFlore's District, Mississippi. His son, Lewis Brashears, received
lot No. 34 under the provision of Article 19, Treaty of Dancing Rabbit Creek:
the W 1/2 of SE 1/4 of Sec 12, T16, R12E, and E 1/2 of SW 1/4 of Sec 12, T16,
R12E.

On 20 Nov 1837, Abraham A. Holsey made deposition that Turner Brashear had
sold his land to Thos. Everidge, for money he owed Everidge, plus $2000 to be
paid... Everidge became Turner's administrator, paid several claims against the
estate, and sold the land to Willie Davis, now (1837) dec'd, for $4000 in three
payments, 1st two payments were made in Negroes and perhaps some money. A Note
for the last payment of $1300 was in Holsey's hands for collection, about $800
paid and balance secured by deed of trust on 2 or 3 negroes. Wm. M. Givin
claims purchase from W. Davis and a transfer from Thos. Everidge, admr of
reservee, who acknowledged payment on back of transfer, dated 20 Nov 1837,
witnessed by Jno. F. Price and Basil L. LeFlore.
