!Two Families of Brashears: By Charles Brashear
Moved to Natches as early as 1776. He served as Conservator of the Peace,
Justice of Peace, Captain of Territorial Militia, Member and Speaker of the
Mississippi House of Representatives, and was a founding member of the
Mississippi Society for the Acquirement and Dissemination of Useful Knowledge.
He was foreman of the Grand Jury that indicted Aaron Burr. (The Order of First
