!West Liberty, TX is now Dayton; His body is interred there. They lived in Rapides Parish from 1829 until 1837 when they moved in 1850 to Avoyelles Parish, Louisiana. He took the oath of Mayor of Marksville, LA in December 1843. After 1850, they moved to Liberty Co., Texas.
