!C Brashear book, page 90: "Z.D. Brasher was sheriff of Guilford County from early 1790's to about 1800. He was a Justice of the Peace in 1801 and a Member of the General Assembly, House of Commons, 1804, 1805, 1806. (Stockard, Hist. Guilford Co, pp. 25, 28, 126.) In 1815, Zaza was Tax Collector for Center Grove twp in the north central section of Guilford Co. He is listed as owning 400 acres of land valued at $1,000 and three slaves."
