!C. Brashear book, page 91: She died 7 May 1877, aged 86 years, 11 months, 20 days, as reported by gravestone inscriptions published in The Kansas City Genealogist, Vol XX, #2. Estate papers in Guilford Co, NC (CR.46.522.1.-37), dated 15 Oct 1823, name the heirs of Zaza D. Brasher, all under 21 years of age.

!Obit (Richmond, Ray Co, MO, Conservation, 11 May 1877). At the residence of her son, Asa D. Brasher, in Albany, Ray Co, MO, May 7th 1877, Mrs. Lucy Brasher, aged 86, 11 mo, 20 days. ... She was born in Sussex Co, VA, 17 Mar 1790, being the child of William and Mary Barham McGee. Her parents at an early age period of her life removed to Guilford Co, NC, where she remained until she was about 38 years of age and had been twice a widow. Her first husband, James Norton, died, having been married to her about a year, leaving her with one daughter, who is still living and is the widow of the late Dr. Folgier, of Carrolton, MO. She afterwards married Zaza D. Brasher, by whom she had five children, two living, Asa D. Brasher and Dr. W.T. Brasher, two prominent citizens of our county. And who left her a second time a widow at the early age of 30...
