!A Brashear(s) Family History, Vol. 3 by Charles Brashear: Mary Brashear (Gilliland) married secondly, 3/6/1797, DANIEL MASON. Goodspeed's "History of East Tennessee" states that Daniel and Mary were the parents of six children, three boys and three girls. Mary "Polly" Mason died in 1819, and Daniel Mason married secondly (5/20/1819) Martha "Patsy" Hicks. See Daniel Mason page 81.
