To wife Catherine the unnamed dwelling plantation and "Brushy Neck" during widowhood, in the event of her remarriage, then only her thirds; also negroes and household goods.
To son Philip the plantation on which he was then seated with the adjoining 120 acres, also the parental dwelling-lantation upon the death or marriage of the widow.
To his grandchildren - John MacCubin and Samuel MacCubin 20 pounds at day of marriage or age of 21; Elizabeth MacCubin a slave and 20 pounds at marriage.
To cousin John Howard 20s for a ring; cousin Elizabeth Norwood 15s for a ring; cousin Sarah Brice 15s for a ring; cousin Hannah Hammond 15s for a ring; cousins Joseph Howard 20s for a ring.
To friend John Hammond Jr. 20s for a ring.
Residuary estate after wife's thirds to be divided equally among three children - Philip, Susan, and Ruth.

!Inventories and Accounts, Liber 25, folio 55: An account filed with the court on September 26, 1704, by Katharine Howard the executrix reported a balance in her possession of 531/-/9 pounds. Legacies were shown to Hannah Hammond, John Howard, Joseph Howard, Cornelius Howard, Sarah Brice, and John Hammond Jr. To the three grandchildren of the deceased, that is, Elizabeth, John, and Samuel MacCubin 60 pounds. The balance or 262/12/2 pounds was to be divided equally among the three children - Ruth, Philip, and Susan.
