Living Individual - Details withheldVester coached the Bitterroot Red Sox, a Legion baseball team, to the first Montana State Regional Championships, played in Yakima, Washington in 1998. During this time, he was also battling with colon cancer. His last surgery was on March 5, 1998 right before the baseball signups. He never missed a game due to his receiving chemotherapy, he was always there with no signs of weakness for his boys. A picture of this team has been donated to the Ravalli County Museum in Hamilton, Montana.
