!Last Will and Testament - Washington Brashear17 Oct 1863:
In the Name of God, I Washington Brashear of Redstone township Fayette county and State of Pennsylvania being in good health of body and of sound mind and disposing memory but reminded of the uncertainty of life and the certainty of death do make and publish this my last will and testament hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at any time made and principally. I commit my soul unto the hands of my Creator who gave it and my body to the Earth to be intered in the family burying ground on my home farm and do dispose of all my property as follows.
First I order that all my just debts if any at the time of my death and all my funeral expenses be paid.
Secondly I give and bequeath to my two sons Otho and Huston and to their heirs and assigns forever share and share alike all my property real personal or mixed wherever and whenever found subject to the following orders and conditions. I order that my beloved Wife Rachel and my three daughters Lucinda, Harriet, and Rachel shall occupy such portion of my home dwelling as they may desire, my Wife during her life time and my said three daughters while they severally remain unmarried and I further order that my said sons Otho and Huston shall provide for my said Wife during her lifetime and my said three daughters while unmarried good and sufficient boarding and lodging and shall pay to each of my said daughters at the time of their marriage fifty dollars.
I also order that the said sons Otho and Huston pay to my son Regnail four years after my death four hundred dollars and to my three daughters Elizabeth, Levina and Mary one year after my death Twenty five dollars each.
I hereby appoint my two sons Otho and Huston my Executors and It is my desire that they enter {???} the discharge of their duties as such without entering bail or security for the performance thereof having full confidence that they will promptly and honestly perform their duties.
In Witness whereof I Washington Brashear the testator have to this my last will and testament set my hand and seal this seventeenth day of October in the year of our Lord 1863.

Be it remembered that on the 12th day of November AD 1868 Before me George Morrison Register for the Probate of Wills and granting Letters of Administration in and for said County personally appeared G H Bowman and William M Ledwith the subscribing Witnesses to the foregoing instrument of writing purporting to be the last Will and testament of Washington Brashear of Redstone township deceased ?wherefore? duly affirmed say that the testator Washington Brashear sign and seal and heard him declare the same as and for his last will and testament when of Sound and disposing mind and memory, that they signed as witnesses thereto by the request of the testator in his presence of each other Knew of no undue influence ???? or later Will made. In Testimony Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal of Office the day above written.
