!"A Brashear(s) Family History, Vol. 3" by Charles Brashear, page 58: They lived in the Pendleton District (later Anderson County) South Carolina, on land adjoining Robert Samuel Brashears at his plantation on George's Creek, a branch of the Saluda River. They sold their land there some time before Sep 1795 (see deed) and probably moved with the clan (or some years after it) to Roane Co., Tennessee, where RSB built his final home.
!"A Brashear(s) Family History, Vol. 3" by Charles Brashear, page 58: 29 Sept 1795, Charles Waters of Pendleton Co, [SC] to Peter Leboon Senr of same, for £25 sterling, tract granted 5 Jan 1789 to Alexr Mahan, 200 acres in the District of Washington on a branch of Saluda River adj. Robert Samuel Beashars, recorded Book YYYYY, page 333, conveyed to said Charles Waters from Alexr Mahan. /s/ Charles Waters (seal); witnesses: Jas. Head; John Head; Jas Saterfield.
