!US Census 1910 (26 April) Virginia, Culpeper Co., Jefferson, Series T624_1626 Part 1, SD 9 ED 19, page 131A, lines 33-37: Norman Rixey (b. 1875 - 35 - in VA - Occ: Farmer - Fa: VA and Mo: VA) married 2 years to Nannie (b. 1893 - 17 - in VA - Fa: VA and Mo: VA) having 2 children born and 2 still living. Children listed (born in VA) are: Gideon (son b. 1908 - 2); and Mary (dau b. Sept 1909 - 7/12)

The family lived near Rixeyville, VA then moved to Elkwood, VA. Norman was badly injured when a team of horses which he was driving ran away. He died while being taken to the hospital at Charlottesville, VA.
