Newspaper Account of His Death: Mr. E. Douglas Jackson of Pittsburgh, PA, only son of ex-Senator and Mrs. E. H. Jackson of this place (Front Royal), died early Tuesday morning, Aug. 18, at the home of his sister, who had been visiting his parents here, left Sunday for a visit to his sister, and death came as a great shock to his family and friends. He was born in Front Royal 49 years ago, a member of a prominent Virginia family, leaving here some years ago for Pittsburgh, where he had been engaged in business and was at the time of his death general manager of the Syntron Company for that city. He married Margaret Moore of Pittsburgh, who, with their daughter, Miss Peggy, has been spending part of the summer with his parents here. The body will be brought here and burial will take place today (Thursday) at 2 o'clock from the home of his parents. He is survived by his parents, his widow, one daughter, and two sisters, Mrs. Truman Pearre of Union Bridge and Baltimore, and Mrs John McClure of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
