Thomas Kemp or Camp was a farmer in early Virginia. About 1679, he appears in the records of New Kent Co., Virginia. New Kent Co., Virginia is now King and Queen County. It seems that Thomas Kemp came to the colonies in 1679. He was transported to Virginia by John Joy who got 220 acres for his efforts on 23 Sept 1683 (head rights for 5 people transported to Virginia).
About 1689 Thomas married Catherine Barron. They lived on the Mettapony River in New Kent
Co., Virginia. He was a prominent farmer.
