Notes for Fannie Fitzgerald Chew
Notes for FANNIE FITZGERALD CHEW:
As I recall, Fannie Fitzgerald Chew, often visited, or stayed with, her cousin of Adele K. (Stockham) Ayres. Apparently not well to do in later years, at least, she left a little sow-skin change purse on her death (or possibly a little sooner) to my sister, Gail Elizabeth Summers. We knew her as children. She was a kind, and affectionate old lady. -- Vincent E. Summers 8/9/98
Listed in IGI Record Batch No. 8421903, Sheet 24 as born August 1871 in Camden NJ to Walter Chew and Elizabeth R. Fitzgerald. Born 11:57 P.M.
Wilson [T. Fitzgerald] left a lot of land (after his death) to the Chew children.- Beth Mahler.
Note: In Pension Papers received for Walter Wesley Chew, it gives the same day and month for the birth date of his children as is shown in this file. But the year was different, and, worse, was different in diffent entries for the Pension Papers.- VES.
