Notes for Benjamin Lloyd Berry

Benjamin Lloyd Berry inherited considerable wealth from his father, and had no need to work during his lifetime. He did not have to serve in the Civil War because he provided the funds needed to outfit an entire regiment in the Union Army, the 3rd Pennsylvania Volunteers.
