Notes for Clement Hayden

!Clement Hayden Will [Copy of Actual Will in possession of Edna Franklin]:
In the name of God Amen, I Clement Hayden of The Territory of Louisiana and District of St. Genevive,being weak in body ,but of sound and perfect mind and memory,blessed be the almighty God for the same. It make and publish this my last Will and testaments in manner and form following fowit after my body being decently buried,and all my Just debts fully paid.
First,I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife Sarah,two hundred acres of land including the improvement on where I now live,together with the stock and household furniture to be enjoyed by her,during her widowhood or the personal property be desposed of at her discretion as may appear most ------- ----- and convenient for the support of herself and the children now living with us viz. James,Susanah,John, Margaret,Benedict,Clement and Elizabeth as long as they remain Single and continue with her and after death the said two hundred acres of land be divided between the two youngest boys so as each one has an equal part of the improvement agreeable by law and equity. I also give and bequeath unto my beloved children or their lawful heirs an equal proportionable part of all the lands I do or may hold in the Territory to be divided in point quality and quantity Saving only to my daughter Sarah,she is now fifty and more to her part then any of the rest of the children including the improvements where she lived as her husband William Tucker has purchased that quantity of Thomas Riney and I purchased five hundred acres of the said Riney and agree for William Tucker to take his fifty acres and including an improvements which I sold him on my own survey as her equal proportion of land to be laid adjoining that that fifty acres including the improvements,she now living. I further give and bequeath that the improvements and two hundred acres mentioned above as allotted for the two youngest boys are to be included in their proportional part of the land but no deduction be made on amount of the value of the improvements. I also give and do bequeath unto my children as they come of age or stand in need of it,one hundred dollars in property as she may think to be paid to them by their mother in such property as she may conveniently provided she can Spare it, this hundred acres last mentioned being the amount of what was given to my daughter,Sarah of personal property when she was married and of which she is to have no more To all the rest of the children receive a hundred dollars each in such property. I also Will and desire provided that any accident should be happen. Any of the legatees or any in financial endure, so as to know them incapable to procure a living the rest shall contribute as much as much toward the support of the infirmed as may be requisite for a comfortable living. I hereby appoint my beloved wife Sarah sole executrix of this my last will and testament Surley revoking all former wills made by me, so hereof I hereunto set my hand and seal on this 2nd day of September 1809

signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named Clement Hayden to be his last Will and Testament in presence of us who here unto Subscribe our names as witnesses in person of the testator this 2nd day of September 1809
