!From Culpeper Star Exponent December 29, 1964: John H. Brown John Henry Brown, 88 of 514 Old Rixeyville Road, died December 24, 1964 at his residence. following a sudden illness. Son of the late Benjamin Landon Brown and Olivia Feaganes Brown , he was a native of Culpeper County. His first wife was Fannie Walker Brown and his second wife was Jane Bell Brown. He is survived by six daughters, Mrs. Marie Smith, Mrs. Kilby, Mrs. George K. Douglas, Mrs. Claude Southard, and Mrs. Hugh M. Kincer Jr. all of Culpeper and Mrs. Eugene Wood of Arlington, five sons, John D. Brown, Benjamin T. Brown both of Arlington,and Raymond E. Brown both of Culpeper, and Carroll H. Brown of Gaithersburg, MD. 33 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and one sister Mrs. Harvey Brown of Brandy Station. A funeral service was held Sunday December 27th in the Geest funeral chapel, with interment following in Fairview Cemetery. Pallbearers were George Perryman, Truman Colvin, Eugene Hicks, H.H. Jack Colvin, Willie Hensley, Rice Brown Jr. John R. Brown and John Judd
