The family name of Rebecca is really unknown. It is thought to be VIZEN (Vizean, Veazean, Voizeen, Voyzeen, Joyzeen or Voicen). The will of a Francis Vizen, which was probated in Anne Arundel County in 1721, names Joseph West, his brother-in-law, as guardian of his children. There was no other Joseph West in Anne Arundel or Prince George's Counties at that time, except for ours. Also, the two families attended the same Episcopal Church.
