Notes for Baker Brooke

Anne Calvert was unmarried in Sept. 1663, when her cousin, Governor Charles Calvert wrote his father, Lord Cecil Calvert, "Att the same time my cousin William's Sister arrived here and is now at my house and has the charge of my household affairs. As yett noe good natch does present, but I hope in a short time she may find one to her own content and yr. Lspp's desire." (Calvert Papers.) She married about 1664, Baker Brooke of De la Broode manor, member of the Council, Surveyor General of the Province, etc. He died 1678/9.
