!Virginia Gazette, by Dixon, July 3, 1779, page 2 column 2 - DEATHS.] "Richard Taliaferro, Esq., of James City, in the 74th year of his age, with gout in his head." Richard lived in James City, VA. Richard made his will 3 February, 1775, and it was proved 19 August, 1779. Richard was the architect for the Governors' Palace, the Virginia Capitol, and the President's house at William and Mary College.
