Eliza Ann Way was born on 13 Oct 1823 in New Geneva, Fayette, PA, USA. She died on 2 Feb 1910 in Grant District,
Monongalia, WV, USA. From the 3 February 1910 edition of the Morgantown Post-Chronicle, page 7:
" Mrs. Eliza Wells died at the home of her son, Fenton Wells, near the Red bridge on the west side, at 6:30 yesterday evening. Mrs. Wells was 97 years of age and her death resulted from a complication of diseases due to old age.
The deceased is survived by three sons and one daughter. The three sons are Fenton, with whom his mother made her home, W.H. Wells of Morgantown and Gideon Wells who lives in the west. The daughter is Mrs. Jane Everhart of Low Point, IL. Mrs. Wells is the widow of the late Thomas Wells and besides her children is survived by 38 grandchildren."
