James Marshall Wells was born on 24 Feb 1848 in Morgantown, Monongalia, W(VA), USA. He died on 28 May 1906. Worked as a farmer.
Effie Etta's (his daughter) obituary mentions a half-brother, Roy Wells, implying that James Marshall was married to someone other than Susan E. Breakiron at one time. This has now been verified conclusively by examining marriage and death records in the Monongalia Co., WV court house. Susan E. Breakiron died two months after Effie Etta was born. James Marshall Wells then later married Mary Caroline Coburn. He was married to Susan Elizabeth Breakiron on 4 Feb 1870 in Grant District, Monongalia, WV, USA.
