I am a descendant of his brother Silas Crane II, Major, who settled in Parrsboro, Nova Scotia.
The mother of Silas Crane II (married Mary Coldwell) was Lucy Waterman who married Silas Crane I. Silas I was born April 19, 1723, Norwich, CT. Silas Crane I, went to Nova Scotia as a Planter but returned before the Revolutionary War. His son Silas II remained in Nova Scotia. Waterman (born 1761) may have been born in CT and came to NS with his father Silas I. Most of the Planters came to my part of Nova Scotia in 1760-61.
