Elene's family lived in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Her son Charles Lloyd, known as Buddy, was a high school classmate and good friend of Bill Clinton, who lived just down the street. Bill was a frequent guest of Buddy's in Elene's home. William Jefferson Clinton, known as Bill, was later elected governor of the state of Arkansas, and in 1992 was elected President of the United States
