He was a great man and a writer; made a name in VA as a write of agricultural journals. He was raised by his uncle; moved from Caroline Co., VA to another VA County and then to NC.
Around 1755, John & Catherine moved to "Macpelah", south of Townesville, in Granville Co, NC with most of their children settling around them. John and Catherine are buried there.
