!US Census 1910 (21 April) Kansas, Series T624_454 part 3, SD 5 ED 110, Sheet 3A, lines 9-13: Harmon R. Brashear (b. 1879 - 31 - in IL - Occ: Farmer - Fa: IL and Mo: VA) married 5 years to Daisy (b. 1882 - 28 - in MI - Fa: MI and Mo: MI) having 3 children born and 3 still living. Children listed (born in KS) are: C. Martin (son b. 1906 - 4); Flossie M. (dau b. 1908 - 2); Ethel M. (dau b. 1909 - 1)
Disappeared 1917 - Harmon went to Nebraska to find work, wrote that he would be sending for the family soon, and was never heard from again. It was suspected he had met with an untimely death that went unreported. The family was broken up and the children placed in orphanages, foster homes, and some were adopted.
