At the time of her death, Myrtle was living with her grandson, Zane J. Voorhees. After the home at 923 Ingraham Street, N.W. in District of Columbia was closed, Zane took his grandmother and his uncle, Joseph Z. Redman, to his home in Smithsburg, Maryland. Both of Myrtle's offspring pre-deceased her.
