Aug 1849 - 50 - in D.C. - Occ: Contractor - Fa: NY and Mo: DC) married for 25 years to Sarah C. (b. Sept 1851 - 48 - in DC - Fa: NY and Mo: VA) having 6 children with only 1 still alive.

Colonel J.B. Stubbs, was a resident of San Rafael for nearly twenty years, passed away at his home on Fourth Street Monday morning after an illness for some weeks. The Colonel was born in District of Columbia and was a staunch member of the Southern Democracy. He was 71 years of age.
