!From Ernest Allen Lewis, "Lottie always swore that she and Ernest Lewis were married in 1928, but their son Ernest knew better. I was a 7 month one week, premature baby...Sure - and Pigs fly cargo planes!!!? She and Dad were divorced while he was in the Navy in 1944. I almost ran into him in Guam. I was on Saipan, Midway Island and he was operating one of those enormous cranes on a floating drydock."

!Memories of a son, Ernest Allen Lewis, Jr.: In 1969, Ernest A. Lewis, my father, went into Veterans Hospital at Sawtelle, West Los Angeles. After WWII he had worked and lived at 1558 E. Slauson in Los Angeles, in the South L.A. and Watts area.
He was a "good old boy" but also a wino. He made car springs for older autos and made a good living...especially after working in the coal mines at Henryetta, OK for over 20 years. He died at Sawtelle Veteran's Hospital on October 19, 1973.
He and Mom were divorced in 1943. Dad was buried near "Liver Eatin" Johnson until they dug him up and reburied him in Cody, WY...a place he hated.
