Notes for Franklin Lafayette Aldridge, Rev.

In 1902, he was licensed to preach in the Methodist Church, which he served in various capacities until his retirement in 1939. During his ministry, he was pastor of churches at Jacksonville, Hartselle, La Fayette, Sylacauga, and Birmingham, AL. He was presiding elder of the Haleyville District for four years and served for seven years as Superintendent of the Methodist Children's Home at Selma, AL. In 1938, he was made Promotional Director of Athens College (a Methodist girls' school).
