(Hickman Pioneer, 17 July 1885: "Basil B. Satterfield accidentlly shot himself through the head with a revolver and died a few minutes afterwards. He got the revolver (to give to his unmarried daughter) and while examining it, it was discharged, the ball entering his head near the right eye, causing almost instant death..." He lived in Dickson Co at the time of his death.)
