The parentage of George Russell and his recognized siblings, John and Lydia, has not been clearly established. Several investigators at times suggested the father to have been Lt. Col. William Russell and wife Mary Henley. Others feel VEHEMENTLY that a relationship is unlikely, but suggest a possible connection to Russells out of Maryland or PA. or of a sibling or uncle to Lt. Col. Russell.
