(b. 1822 - 28 - in GA). Children listed (born in GA) are: William H. (son b. 1843 - 7); Mary A. (dau b. 1845 - 5); Mildred C. (dau b. 1847 - 3); and Susan C. (dau b. 1849 - 1)

Dates are shown in the family Bible, photocopy at the Georgia Department of Archives & History, which goes back to Larkin Johnston - Was a Militia Captain in Walton Co. in 1840.
By the 1860's they moved to the Dark Corner area of old Campbell (now Douglas) Co., Georgia
His estate records show extensive land holdings, a saw and shingle mill, and a gin. Among their 10 children was William Harrison "Bill" Johnston, Jan. 8, 1842-April 13, 1922, buried in the Douglasville City Cem. with wife Annie Laura Ergle, 1847-1925, daughter of John and Annie Price Ergle of Lexington Co., S.C., and Douglasville. "Bill" Johnston was a veteran of Co. C, 30th Ga. Infantry, CSA.
