John Burton is found in Franklin, Jackson, and Walton counties, drawing 250 acres of land in Walton in 1820 and leaving a will there in 1856. His home was along Sandy Creek near the Morgan Co. line. John Burton was survived by his wife, Johanna ("Hannah") Jones Burton
