Eldridge M. Burton served in Co. C, 9th Ga. Infantry, and Co. G, 42nd Ga. Infantry, CSA. He was captured at Vicksburg and at the Battle of Nashville and was imprisoned at Camp Douglas, Ill., for the last six months of the war.
