!US Census 1850 (23 January) Alabama, Russell Co., Roll M432_14, Page 83, lines 1-5: Drury Mims (b. 1783 - 67 - in SC - Occ: Farmer - Property Value $4000) married to Charlsey (b. 1788 - 61 - in AL). Children listed (born in SC) are: William (son b. 1820 - 30); and Louisa (dau b. 1822 - 28). ALSO LISTED is: Julia A. Fuller (b. 1833 - 17 - in GA).

!"Eufaula Newspaper" - Barbour Co., Alabama, Obituary - June 24, 1858: Departed this life, in the city of Eufaula, Ala., on the 18th , Deacon Drury Mims, aged 75 years, 5 months and 2 days. Father Mims was born in Edgefield District, S. C., January 16th, 1783. In 1830 he moved to Muscogee County, Ga., and to Russell County, Alabama in 1837, where he lived until January 1855. Having been bereft of his companion, he sold his property, and , dividing most of the proceeds thereof among his children, he selected the home of his daughter Julia Brannon as his future home.
