Murida (b. 1823 - 57 - in TN - Occ: Farmer - Fa: VA and Mo: VA) married to Martha J. (b. 1811 - 69 - in TN - Fa: NC and Mo: NC). Children listed (born in KY) are: John T. (son b. 1859 - 21 - Occ: Laborer); and Nancy A. (dau b. 1861 - 19). ALSO LISTED is: Ruffin Key (Father-in-law b. 1794 - 86 - in VA - Fa: VA and Mo: VA)

!The Christian Advocate, dated May 19, 1883: RUFFIN KEY son of William Key, a Methodist preacher, born Albemarle Co. Virginia, March 19, 1791; moved with parents to Sumner Co., Tennessee when he was about ten years old; married Mary McNeill, August 1845 and moved to Todd Co., Kentucky in February 1846; he died January 7, 1883. His wife was born in North Carolina, May 10, 1792 and died in Todd Co., Kentucky, June 23, 1874. He was a veteran of the Creek wars for which service he drew a government pension. He and wife had three daughters and two sons, four living; three lived in Todd County and Mrs. John M. King lived in Washington Co., Illinois.

Buried at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Claymour Ky. 1830 Sumner Co TN census lists Ruffin aged 30-40, wife same age, one son under 5, 3 daughters aged 10-15. Ruffin was one of the executors of his father's will. Ruffin and Mary had 4 children. A Ruffin Key is listed in the War of 1812 musters: SC-5252 srv Capt. Wm. L. Alexander and Capt. Lauderdale's Co TN militia as a private.
